Term 2, Week 4
Last week saw the first full Athletics Carnival to be held on school grounds.
Many parents commented on the day’s positive spirit, particularly with its ‘at home’ feel. Thank you to all our staff, parents and students who contributed to the day’s success.
Inaugural events always present opportunities for improvement, and constructive, helpful comments are always welcome. Please let myself, Mr Gray or a member of the Sports Committee know if you have an idea to help with the day’s organisation.
Please see below for a few photos, mostly from the Senior Section.
Don’t forget the Bible Society’s Masterclass, which will be hosted by OCS on 15 August. It’s a great opportunity for students in Years 9-11 to explore what it means to be a young Christian today, in an increasingly secular world. It’s a free event, to be held on a school day, here at OCS, so please encourage your children to register.
Please let others know about it as well. Students from all schools across the Central West are welcome to attend. Places are filling quickly.
Have a great week.

The Bible Society: Masterclass
Living out the Christian faith in today’s world is not always easy for our young people. In a world of selfies, identity politics and ‘fake news’, Bible Society’s Masterclass will inspire, challenge and equip Christian students by tackling the big questions:
- Does the Christian faith make sense?
- What does the Bible have to say about issues in our world?
- And what does it mean to live a bold Christian life that makes a real difference?
Masterclass also includes a popular Q&A session, giving students the freedom to ask our panel of speakers the searching questions about the Christian faith they’ve always wanted to ask.
This is a free event, wholly funded by Bible Society supporters.
