Why families choose Orange Christian School for Year 7
A supported start to Secondary
We know the transition to Year 7 is a big step. That’s why every student has:
A dedicated buddy from the first day
Ongoing care from Homeroom teachers, Chaplains, and staff
Strong academic pathways with individual support
Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, build new skills, and grow through every experience.
Academic Growth Centre (AGC) providing tailored learning support and extension opportunities
The STAR (Students Taking an Active Role) homework centre, helping students build effective study habits
Diverse learning options, including Vocational Education & Training (VET)
School and family working together
You are a child’s first and most important teacher. We work closely with families to support students academically and personally, through:
Regular communication via Parent Information Nights, Teacher Interviews, and the Schoolstream app
A welcoming environment where students feel known, supported, and encouraged to thrive
Character and wellbeing for life
We teach from a Christian foundation, guiding students to grow in integrity, compassion, and responsibility. Our wellbeing program supports the whole student – physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually – so they can navigate school life with confidence.
