What a great day of swimming at Blacktown yesterday.
Our best results on the day were Samuel Bennett 6th in the Boys 11 years 50m Backstroke and 8th in the Boys 11 years 50m Butterfly with Josiah Dirs 8th in both the Boys 8-10 years 100m Freestyle and Boys 10 years 50m Freestyle and 9th in the Boys 10 years 50m Breaststroke.
All students had improved performances, swimming faster than their entry times across a number of events. Ebony Cooke improved by almost 28 seconds in the Girls 8-10 years 200m Individual Medley. Oliver Dirs improved by almost 7 seconds in the Boys 11-13 years 100m Freestyle and Lily Bangert improved by almost 7 seconds in the Girls 11-13 years 200m Individual Medley – breaking the 4 minute mark in the process. Riley Bennett improved by almost 6 seconds on his entry time in the Boys 9 years 50m Breaststroke.
Congratulations to all thirteen students who represented OCS so well throughout the day. Thanks also to our staff and parents who made it possible for our students to compete.
