Each time we meet as the Orange Christian School Board we come together as Christians, with the responsibility for the governance of the school.
We always start our meeting by setting aside time to pray and to look at God’s word. In our April meeting Nelly McCarthy prompted us to think about how we use our words; what we say to people and how we say it; how we conduct our discussion, working through sometimes difficult issues; and most of all are we listening to God as he speaks to us through his word?
Our next Association meeting is on the 21st May. This is also our AGM. We would love you to come, even if you are not an Association member. Come and hear about all the things that have been happening over the past 12 months, both in the day to day running of the school, and also how the school has been managed by its directors. You might be considering joining the OCS Association; this would be a great opportunity to see what it is all about.
Finally please be praying for us as a Board. Sometimes we need to work though hard issues, that can be emotional or confusing. Please pray that we will be wise when making decisions. Thank God for the people who volunteer their time to be part of the OCS Board, and that the relationship between the Board and the Principal is healthy and productive.
Yours in Christ,
Tim Chapman-Mortimer, Board Chair
