Secondary State Swimming

Six students represented Orange Christian School at the CSSA Secondary State Swimming Carnival held at the Sydney International Aquatic Centre, Homebush on Tuesday, 10th March. Our team comprised of Caleb
Googe, David Googe, Daniel Googe, Dylan McHatton, Emily Nobbs and Evan Smith.

The students had a very successful day with many achieving personal best times. Emily, David, Evan and Caleb all improved on their times with Caleb achieving a 14 second improvement in the 200m individual medley.

Our most successful swimmer was Emily Nobbs who came first in both the 200m individual medley and 50m breaststroke. These places combined with her performances in other events resulted in Emily being awarded the 14 years girls age champion. Emily is now eligible to compete at the Combined Christian Schools carnival in April and has been invited to join the CSSA NSW Swimming Team to compete at the National Christian Schools Games at the Gold Coast in May. Emily has worked very hard, training most days, and it is wonderful to see her reaping the rewards. Congratulations Emily!

A special thank you goes to our parents who supported their children on the day and to Trevor Nobbs who was our team manager.
