History
Orange Christian School was established in December 1980 by a group of parents who saw the need for Christian education in Orange. They formed an “Association” and established a school to facilitate the education of their children by teaching the Christian values espoused in the home.
Following Government approval, classes commenced in January 1981 with 17 students. Miss Anne Pagot was the first teacher and classes were held in the premises of the Church of Christ in March Road (currently Burrendong Way) Orange.
Enrolments, staff numbers and facilities gradually increased and, through faith, the current site was purchased in 1988. Classes began at the Cecil Road site with 123 students in September 1989. Since then, the site has been developed with modern buildings capable of housing 450-500 students.
We sincerely thank the pioneering and present parents who, through their dedication and love of the Lord, have strived for many years to achieve the present position of the school.
